Strength Training

Strength training can be traced back to 2000 B.C. when human started training for strength. The early egyptians started their strength training by lifting heavy objects such as stones, wood blocks etc. They require strength for hunting and performing military functions. In old chinese culture strength training has also been widely seen as a part of their military training. They also perform different games like hunting which is also a part of strength training activities. The most recent strength training association known to people is with the ancient Greeks. Greeks are well known for their strength training. Greek Olympics are also very popular where both strength and physical fitness were tested. They also have ideal body types which focuses on physical structure of human body. So we can say that the strength training has been a part of human history for a very long time. The men which more strength and power holds more value than the others. Moreover it is also a very popular believe that a leader should have a good physical fitness and strength. Many early tribes appoint their leaders solely on the basis of physical strength.

Now-a-days, the basic strength training have been neglected from our society. We have build a very poor living routine according to our diet and activities. Everyone loves to eat at BurgerKing or MacDonald's but nobody focuses on their fitness. The innovation in science has made our lives easier, we do our day to day activities using technology, which requires no physical effort. Hence we have become lazy and our physical activity is almost none. For healthy and wealthy living it is necessary that we should have good physical activities which provides us strength and energy for a healthy life.

Athletes should also focus on their strength training as well as their basic athletic training. Because strength training is the basis of all athletic training. And a man can never be a good athlete if he has no strength. So in order to live a healthy life everyone must exercise and maintain a physically fit lifestyle.
